This 6 week Beginners Yoga Course is the ideal introduction to Iyengar Yoga and is suitable for absolute beginners and those returning to yoga after a gap.
We will focus on simple standing asanas, which improve mobility, strength and overall fitness. Some basic seated poses will also be introduced and each class ends with relaxation. At the end of the class, you should be feeling lighter, calmer and be moving with more ease. By the end of the 6 week course, you will be ready to join an ongoing Beginners class and learn a wider range of asanas.
You are also welcome to just start in one of our ongoing classes, if the time suits you better. The nice thing about the Beginners Course is that everyone is starting fresh, from the beginning and learning together. There is an option for this group to continue for another 6 week block after this one. Often our Beginners groups have liked to continue with the same people and keep progressing together.
Iyengar yoga is suitable for everyone and we can adapt poses to suit your individual needs, but this class will have some physical challenge in it. Please contact Lucy if you have any questions or health issues – iyoganowstudio@gmail.com
