An Arienas Collective Exhibition
24–31 May 2025 | Scot-ART Gallery 1, St Margaret’s House, Edinburgh,
EH7 6AE
Open daily 11-5pm
How do creatives balance making work they are passionate about with
work they make a living from? This question sits at the heart of For Love
or Money? — the first-ever exhibition from the Arienas Collective.
Founded by Lynn Powell, the Arienas Collective is a community that
supports artists to make a living by running workshops, while
championing the importance of creativity and wellbeing for everyone
who takes part. For this inaugural exhibition, a diverse group of artists
and makers come together to explore the intersections between artistic
passion and creative entrepreneurship.
The exhibition features work from artists, creatives and makers Anna
Campbell, Panna Chauhan, Jacky Cox, Lou Davis, Emma Dhesi,
Morven Ferguson, Suzanne Kemplay, Mark Kirkham, Sheila McDonald
and Lucy Wayman.
Throughout this interactive exhibition, members of the Arienas Collective
creative team will be working from the gallery space, offering visitors the
chance to meet the makers, ask questions, and discover more about
both the joys and challenges of making a living through art.
A full programme of Exhibition Talks, Tasters and Demonstrations is
available, with opportunities to book spaces in advance. Taster sessions
have a nominal £5 fee (redeemable against workshop bookings), and all
talks and drop-ins are free to attend. Whether you are curious about
turning your creative passion into a career, interested in trying
something new, or simply wish to enjoy art and conversation, there is
something here for everyone.
