Jillian Lee Adamson (b. 1977, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) is an
interdisciplinary artist based in East Lothian, Scotland. Drawing on lived
experience shaped by neurodivergence, Mad-identity, and housing
insecurity, her practice is informed by resilience, recovery, and self-determined forms of care.
She studied Media Arts at the Perpich Center for Arts Education and
undertook early college-level study at the Minneapolis College of Art and
Design, later earning a First-Class BA (Hons) in Painting from Edinburgh
College of Art in 2024. Her practice centres on slow stitching,
forming Metaphorical Cells that explore resilience, repair, fragility, and
strength through repetition, tension, and care.

Alicja Klawinowska’s practice explores perception through intuitive
drawing. Her process, which cycles between observation, gesture, and
open-ended resolution, examines how meaning emerges from chance.
This is the focus of her Pareidolia series, where viewers collaborate with
ambiguous forms. Her urban sketchbooks extend this inquiry. Swift lineand-wash drawings capture fleeting public gestures and micronarratives as acts of attunement. Parallel work in storyboarding hones
her sensitivity to movement and the decisive moment. Together, her
works form a visual diary where each mark is a trace of attention and a
quiet provocation to look again

Their exhibition, ‘Memory’ will open at St Margaret’s House on the 7th of March, closing on the 14th of March. their preview night is March 6th, please see timings on the poster.
