‘Review’ is a solo exhibition of Marcin Krupa’s artworks,
mainly paintings and drawings. The title indicates that the
nature of the show is almost informal, referring to end of
term review’s which are common at art college. The
exhibition consists of artworks from the period between
January and March 2025, but, you may find there a few
older pieces too.
The artist considers the exhibition as an
opportunity for himself to see his recent works together in a
white, clean space which gives him a chance to stop and
reflect on them, and try to figure out the direction and new
ideas for his practice.
Marcin is a visual, multidisciplinary artist specialising in
sculpture, painting and drawing.
The supreme and dominant subject in his art practice is the
human body. The concept of beauty canons its influences
on self-acceptance and mental health. He also explores
gender attributes in western societies and sexuality.
Beyond the subject matter, the supreme aim in his practice
is to create aesthetically satisfying artwork with a strong
composition and pleasing colour relationships. Each of his
artworks should stands on its own in terms of visual
aspects.
