The Martyrology of Belarus
Wednesday 15 October - Sunday 26 October 2025 12:00am

The exhibition ‘The Martyrology of Belarus’ (which translates from Greek as ‘torment’), draws attention to the tragedy in Belarus, to the torture, murders and repression. The total work is over 1,300 portraits of political prisoners in Belarus, each of whom are martyrs, in a way, for their desire to speak truth and live freely. A selection of the total work is on display in ART, where the artist, Ksisha Angelova, will also work to produce new portraits.

Featuring a talk from Professor Richard Demarco on the opening night (Wednesday the 15th of October at 6:30pm).
