Scot-ART’s very own Constantine has been the resident artist at the virgin hotels for the past two months. The three month residency program helps to provide a platform for Edinburgh based artists and creates to promote and display their work.
You can view his work in The Unicorn Room, located within the old India Buildings’ turret. This is a free space for the public to come and support the work of local artists.
Constantine uses many mediums in his work, from inks to acrylics and oils. His works on display titled ‘VIGILANTE’, which features figures in batman costumes that explores power, injustice and obsession with morality. Constantine uses mythology and pop-culture through the piece, making references to guitar bands such as ‘The Cramps’.
His work is available to view at the Virgin Hotels until May 31st. Following this, it will be on display at St Margaret’s House in Gallery 2 from July 22nd until August 9th.
