Past Online Exhibitions
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we introduced the online exhibition platform for our artists. This feature was pivotal in keeping art alive during the various lockdowns and meant that the exhibitions could be viewed by a much larger audience. This was a significant feature for those whose were still trying to express their thoughts and ideas during this time and provided them with a platform to do so.

St Margaret's House has a wide variety of artists, makers, collectives and organisations. To showcase some of their work we created this online pop-up exhibition. It includes a wide range of media, from glass work to jewellery to painting. Please contact the individual artist to purchase their work.

Evie Jamieson is figurative artist who works in a variety of media and strive to find the “right” colour, light and texture to bring my work to life. "I have painted and exhibited in the Languedoc area of France. I also exhibit in London, Kent and Surrey. I now live in Edinburgh where I continue painting and exhibiting."
Laura Manescau is a figurative artist from Argentina based in Edinburgh. She specialised in portraiture and caricatures. Currently she is studying illustration at Edinburgh College. She is interested in human facial expressions, psychology and human behaviour.
Marcin Krupa is a visual artist based in Edinburgh. He was trained as a sculptor but decided to expand his skills in other art disciplines such as drawing and painting. The predominant subject throughout his art career is human form. He advocates in his works for body positive philosophy and celebrates beauty of different body types, gender equality and right to self expression. He explores taboo subjects in society and challenges social norms.

Tansy Lee Moir
Tansy is a visual artist based just outside Edinburgh, working predominantly in charcoal and pastel. Originally from Matlock in Derbyshire, she gained a BA Hons in 3D Design at Manchester Metropolitan University. After working as a puppet maker and performer, she moved to Edinburgh in 1994 and spent the next fifteen years developing a practice combining art with a community development approach, working with marginalised communities throughout Central Scotland.
In 2008 she set up her studio in Edinburgh’s St. Margaret’s House to focus on drawing, developing a body of work inspired by trees. Since then she has exhibited widely across Scotland and UK and in 2017 moved to work from her purpose-built garden studio. She is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists.
Margaret Pitt
Margaret C.C. Pitt graduated with a B.A.Honours in Fine Art-Printmaking from Gray’s School of Art. The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, in 2003. She also has a B.A. Honours from the Open University in 1985. Courses for this degree were in Art History and Literature. She is a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland.
Margaret’s work has been exhibited widely in Edinburgh, London, Glasgow, Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire Galleries. It has also been purchased for the collections of local businesses/organisations including The Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Viscom, Activ, Payroll and Fifth Ring.
Margaret went to Art School after retiring from teaching and since graduating has continued to produce and show work at her studio which is open to the public by appointment.

ARTitude is a short version of our group name - Women with ARTitude. We’ve been meeting on a monthly basis for about two years, originally to offer support and encouragement in our artistic expression. We’ve all come to art through diverse routes which makes for an interesting and stimulating mixture of styles and subject matter. In April last year we had to postpone our exhibition at the Union Gallery, Edinburgh, however we continue creating new pieces of work to exhibit in the future and we are therefore delighted to have this opportunity to showcase some of our work online through Edinburgh Palette. We are Deb Ball, Sheena Berry, Gloria Henderson, Evie Jamieson, Barbara Moyes and Lorna Nisbet.
